Parkersburg council approves water, sewer rate increases
By Robert Maharry
PARKERSBURG - The Parkersburg city council voted unanimously to approve an increase in the base rates for water and sewer services after a brief public hearing at Monday night’s regular meeting.
For households that use between 1,000 and 15,000 gallons per month, the base rate will increase from $3.75 to $3.95, and for those that use over 15,000, it will increase from $3.00 to $3.50. Sewer will still be charged at 85 percent of water.
